Blind stitch edging
In addition to the selection of linen and leather bindings that are visible on the surface of a rug or runner, we also offer a subtle “concealed” edge tape, generally referred to as a blind stitch or blind hem finish. This process uses a narrow cotton tape, similar in colour to that predominant in the carpet. The tape is positioned on the perimeter cut edge and is stitched on the face through the carpet backing; it is then wrapped tightly around the outer cut edge (which will have been sealed) and onto the back of the carpet, to which it is then adhered. Although inconspicuous, the tape offers valuable protection to the edge of the rug or runner once in use.
Whether in a traditional or contemporary setting, a blind stitch edge is a smart but discreet perimeter detail, complimenting the finish of an area rug or stair runner.

Rug underlay
The majority of our rugs are supplied to be loose laid and in order to minimise slippage, we offer Rug fix a tackified rug underlay in a choice of 3.00m and 1.00m widths.
