Additional information
If the visible face dimension of the border is not specified, rugs and runners will be produced with a bound edge equivalent to approximately 50% of the tape width.
In addition we offer a “blind stitch” finish which is the application of a concealed edge to a rug or runner.
Non standard finishes, such as cotton and Alcantara tapes and carpet borders are available upon request. Where the dimensions of a rug in the width exceed the standard width of the chosen carpet, a seam will be required and a seam layout drawing must be agreed.
Every Wool Classics and Zoffany bound edge rug or runner is custom made to order. Where both carpet and edge binding materials are available immediately from our stock, rugs and runners are generally produced in approximately 4 weeks from order.
All waste carpet must be costed into rugs e.g. to make a rug 2.00m long x 3.00m wide using 4.00m wide carpet, a total of 2.10 metres long x 4.00m wide must be purchased (the additional 10cm is added to the length to allow symmetrical cutting of the piece in the rug make up process). Make up charges apply to the linear metreage of binding required e.g. a 2.00m long x 3.00m wide bound rug will require 10.00 lin m of binding.
Where a carpet is selected with a directional pattern, the client must specify the direction in which they wish the pattern to run.
Regular shaped rugs (i.e. rectangles and oblongs) can be priced from dimensioned or scaled drawings. Irregular shapes, including circles and ellipses will require a template (subject to an additional charge if undertaken by Wool Classics).

The majority of our rugs are supplied to be loose laid and in order to minimise slippage, we offer Rug fix a tackified rug underlay in a choice of 3.00m and 1.00m widths.
