Delivery, Specialist Handling and Rug Layout Service

The dimensions and weight of a carpet roll make it a difficult product to transport and handle without the correct equipment. At Wool Classics the delivery phase is a critical process; our carpets are delivered with care, through a combination of in house services and approved specialist contractors to offer our clients a flexible and comprehensive service.

Delivery services – UK mainland

As a division of Brintons Ltd, the majority of Wool Classics carpets are delivered on one of the company’s fleet of modern liveried vehicles, specially adapted for transporting and handling carpets. Within the UK mainland, planned vehicle routings provide our trade customers with a regular delivery cycle in their area.

Where special deliveries, such as express, time critical or consignments to a private addresses are required, these will be subject to an additional charge, available upon application.

We have specific conditions relating to requests for deliveries to private residences and non-trade premises. Please see our pdf titled important delivery information as this contains key guidelines for planning such a delivery.

Delivery services – outside UK mainland

Wool Classics carpets continue to be selected by discerning customers across the globe. Working closely with carefully selected logistics partners we strive to ensure your carpet arrives on time and in first class condition anywhere in the world, whether transported by road, sea or air.

We offer a specialist rigid tube packaging service, subject to an additional charge, which we recommend where shipments are planned by air freight or via more complex multi mode trans-shipments.

Specialist handling

Certain projects present unique challenges when handling and manoeuvring large rolls into buildings with limited or difficult access.

Our installation division regularly works on projects where the principal access points or internal lifts and stairways are not suitable for safely handling or manoeuvring the required carpet sections without causing potential damage and injury. Working with approved contractors and subject to a mandatory site survey, risk assessment and where necessary, local council or highways approval, we are able to undertake projects where either a mobile furniture hoist or industrial crane is required to manoeuvre the carpet onto site. Rug layout service (currently available within M25 only)

The positioning and layout of a large rug in situ can be an arduous task and may also require the movement of heavy furniture.
